Exciting news from Bot Brain! www.botbrain.com
16- January-2014
Hello all and welcome to this month’s news letter from BotBrain Educational Robots!  It’s a New Year and there is always something new in the world of robotics and education.   This month I had the opportunity to visit the Education Resource Center at NASA’s IV & V Facility in Fairmont, WV.  My initial impression – WOW!  This is a paradise for someone like me!  The team, Jamie, Pam and Ryan gave me a Grand Tour.  The center has some of the most State-of-the Art training facilities along with great environments to build and test your robots.  There are also some real exciting robotic projects going on to support ongoing space missions.  We don’t plan to have our BotBrain robots orbit the Earth; however, sometime in the future our products may be in training classes on Martian colonies!  I encourage you to visit their website at http://erc.ivv.nasa.gov.

Also, the results for the 2013 DARPA Robotics Challenge Trials are tallied with the top three positions going to Schaft, IHMC Robotics and Tartan Rescue.  I encourage you to visit the website at www.theroboticschallenge.org and read about the leaders in the robotics field and view some of the videos.  The environments are designed to simulate obstacles and tasks that may be encountered during a disaster or rescue mission.  It’s amazing what the engineering and design teams were able to accomplish with their robots.
Do you want to get started in learning and building your own robots?  Our kits are designed for the classroom or individuals.
